The OMK-PGT4 thermocouple and analog input data acquisition module accepts four thermocouple inputs and six single-ended or three differential analog voltage inputs. The analog voltage inputs have 11-bit resolution in single-ended mode and 12-bit resolution in differential mode. Each analog voltage input has programmable gains of 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16 or 20. The thermocouple inputs can be used with type J, K or T thermocouples in any combination. The module provides an ambient temperature sensor for cold junction compensation. The OMK-PGT4 is hosted and powered by a PC compatible printer port and no external power supply is required. The module also has four bi-directional digital I/O ports which can be set or cleared based on the analog inputs using the included software. The software is a Microsoft Windows compatible display and logging program. A Data Plotter is included that allows the analog input values to be plotted versus time. Data may also be logged at user specified intervals in a format which is compatible with most spread sheet programs. Windows Active X controls (OCX) are included for use with development languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual C++, Borland C++ and Borland Delphi.
