This rugged pH electrode is specially designed for pH determination in samples
containing hydrofluoric acid or other acid fluorides. Such samples can cause rapid deterioration of a
typical glass pH electrode. This electrode consists of a PVC housing, incorporating a non-glass
reference element and a plastic membrane pH sensor. Corrosive acid fluoride solutions will not
reduce electrode performance or lifetime. The electrode has a zero potential at 7 pH and can be
effectively used on most pH analyzers and controllers. Manual temperature compensation is
recommended where required. The electrode is threaded with a 1" MNPT on both ends. The electrode
can be installed into a pipe tee for in-line use, or on the end of a 1"
FNPT submersion pipe.
