These calibrated and correlated variable area flow meters for the laboratory are available with all-plastic shields.
The shields confine fluid contact to the FKM or PTFE inserts, polypropylene and the
glass tube. The polycarbonate shield makes it possible to use the variable area flow meter under pressurized
systems or in conditions where glass cannot be exposed. As with the corresponding unshielded
variable area flow meters, these units are available in five sizes to cover the full range of flows normally encountered
with spherical floats.
